What a load of crap
I don't buy it. I drink two Diet Mountain Dews a day, and I have yet to win a song on iTunes, even though they claim "1 in 3 wins." So, after 5 weeks, and 50 DMDs, I have ZERO wins? hmmm...

The mathematics suggests this is an EXTREMELY rare occurance, assuming the "1 in 3 wins". With probability of 2/3 of NOT winning on each the probability of NOT winning on 50 consecutive is(2/3)^50 = 0.00000000156, which, I think, is within a couple orders of magnitude of the probabililty of two people having the same mitochondrial dna! (This assumes all events are independent which is probably not the case here. How the winners are injected into the mix of cans is not known.) Lawyers accept dna evidence and should also accept that the Mountain Dew folks are not being honest with their customers.
